I am getting old….
Posted by Eva Kipler under: This and That
I don’t often post anything on the blog about my personal life, but once in a while I feel the urge to share something with my fabulous blog readers. Today (or actually since it is past midnight… technically yesterday) my oldest child, Alex, celebrated his birthday. A big birthday for Alex… he turned 18 years old today. Where has time gone? I have such vivid memories of holding him in my arms when he was an infant, and now 18 years has past and he is a man.
Just wanted to give a little shout out to my precious little boy (although he is now 6’4″ tall). Happy Birthday, Alex. I love you!
Here are a few photos I took while he was unwrapping gifts. Unfortunately, the battery on my good camera was dead so I had to use my point-and-shoot camera (and it appears that one of my lovely children have messed with the settings). They aren’t the greatest photos, and the chances of Alex letting me take more photos of him is very slim. LOL

What a milestone for him – and for you! You should be one proud mama! <3
I can relate to what you’re saying about your son turning 18. My son, Jacob (also 6’4) turned 18 on Saturday but he really is my baby, the youngest of my five children. To celebrate his birthday, his dad got him a tattoo — the same family tattoo that my husband and my other son have. Talk about being old! Where has time gone. My baby is a tattooed MAN! sniff
Thanks for sharing.
